How we handle personal information.

Make It Reyn Media Inc. (“Make It Reyn,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operating from York Region, Ontario, Canada, operates the website reyn.ca (the “Site”) and the REYN BOS™ platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have under Canadian privacy law.

We are subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada’s federal private-sector privacy law, and we’ve built this policy around its 10 Fair Information Principles.

1. Who is accountable for your privacy

Under PIPEDA, an organization must name someone accountable for its privacy practices.

If you have a question, concern, or complaint about how we handle your personal information, contact us first. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (contact details in Section 10).

2. What information we collect

We only collect personal information you choose to give us, or that’s generated by your direct interaction with our Site.

Information you provide directly:

  • Contact form: name, email address, business name, business type, and any details you share about how your business runs. Submissions are received and processed by a Netlify serverless function.
  • Demo/consultation bookings: when you book a “Full 30-Minute Demo” or “Operational Clarity Assessment,” you’re taken to Google Calendar’s own booking system, which collects your name, email, and any details you enter there.
  • Direct email or communication: anything you send us at hello@reyn.ca or through other direct contact.

Information collected automatically:

  • Microsoft Clarity (analytics): while you browse the Site, Clarity collects behavioral data such as pages viewed, time on page, approximate location, mouse movement, scrolling, and clicks, to help us understand how the Site is used. See Section 6 for detail.

Information that stays on your device and is never sent to us:

  • The Hidden Profit Finder™ tool runs its calculation entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter there is sent to us or stored anywhere unless you separately choose to book a call.

Information we do not knowingly collect:

  • We do not ask for or knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as health data, government identity numbers, or financial account details through the Site.

3. Why we collect it (identifying purposes)

We collect personal information only for purposes we identify to you at or before the time of collection:

  • To respond to your inquiry and follow up about a demo, assessment, or partnership.
  • To schedule and manage appointments you request.
  • To evaluate fit for working together, as described on the Site (“we’re assessing fit in both directions”).
  • To send you information you’ve asked for about Make It Reyn and REYN BOS™.
  • To improve our Site and services.
  • To meet legal, accounting, or regulatory requirements.

We do not use your information for any purpose beyond what’s identified here without asking for your consent first.

4. Consent

By submitting a form, booking a call, or otherwise voluntarily providing your information to us, you consent to our collecting, using, and (where described in this policy) sharing that information for the purposes described above.

You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting us at hello@reyn.ca. If you withdraw consent for information we need to provide a service you’ve requested, we may not be able to continue providing that service.

5. How we use and share your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We share information only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the business, acting on our instructions and only for the purposes above:
    • Netlify — hosts the Site and runs the serverless function that receives contact form submissions.
    • Supabase — stores lead and contact information in our operational database.
    • Resend — sends transactional and follow-up email on our behalf.
    • Microsoft Clarity — provides Site analytics (see Section 6).
    • Google Calendar — powers appointment scheduling for demo and consultation bookings.
  • Legal or regulatory authorities, if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
  • A successor entity, if Make It Reyn is ever sold, merged, or reorganized — you’d be notified if your information became subject to a different privacy policy as a result.

Cross-border storage: Some of the service providers above (Netlify, Supabase, Resend, Microsoft Clarity, Google) may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. PIPEDA permits this, but requires us to tell you: your information may be accessible to the courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities of the country where it’s stored.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use Microsoft Clarity, a behavioral analytics tool, to understand how visitors use reyn.ca. Clarity sets cookies (including ones named CLID and MUID) and collects information such as pages viewed, time on page, approximate location, mouse movement, scrolling, and clicks.

Microsoft Clarity has built-in privacy protections: it automatically masks sensitive fields (such as names typed into forms, passwords, and payment fields), blocks personally identifiable information from being captured, anonymizes IP addresses, and does not use device fingerprinting. Session data is retained under Clarity’s default settings.

We do not use Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, or advertising retargeting pixels on this Site.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Doing so may affect how parts of the Site function. For more detail on what Microsoft Clarity collects, see Microsoft’s privacy disclosure guidance.

7. How we protect your information (safeguards)

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including working with reputable service providers, restricting access to those who need it, and using secure hosting infrastructure.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as required by law.

8. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting record-keeping obligations).

9. Your rights under PIPEDA

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Withdraw consent for our collection, use, or disclosure of your information (subject to legal/contractual limits).
  • Ask questions about how your information has been collected, used, or disclosed.
  • Challenge our compliance with this policy or PIPEDA by contacting us directly.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@reyn.ca. We will respond within a reasonable time and at no cost to you, except in limited circumstances permitted by law.

10. Filing a complaint

If you’re not satisfied with how we’ve handled your privacy concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada:

11. Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for business owners and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we learn we’ve collected such information, we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted here before or as they take effect.
